Parent Partnerships

There is no doubt that when parents, families and practitioners all work together the child benefits enormously. Partnerships with parents are built on trust and transparency and will always have the child at the centre. 

At Sunny Hill we encourage parents to add their own observations from home using Tapestry, to bring photos for All About Me topics, and to share verbally and through email wow moments and news from home.  Children are encouraged to bring in interesting items for Show and tell. We regularly meet with parents to discuss their child's progress. 

Our family room provides parents with a supportive hub of up to date information and a safe place to share and reflect on experiences. Parents and carers can seek advice on all things early years from our highly qualified and experiences staff. We operate an open door policy and always make ourselves available for parents and carers to meet.

Parents, grand parents or family friends are always welcome to visit the children to share exciting experiences:  read a story, look at the classrooms or to talk about keeping bees.
